Originally hailing from Detroit and now rooted in Tampa, Florida, Gator Tooth is led by award-winning singer-songwriter S.G. Wood, a master of "Hacksaw Americana"—a style as raw and unfiltered as the stories it tells. Music was always in S.G.'s bones. Raised in a home brimming with melodies, he grew up inspired by his father’s WJR radio show and a soundtrack that ranged from Broadway to Bebop, with healthy doses of country and folk. Teaching himself guitar on his mom's old Harmony and studying legends like The Beatles, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan, he soon found his calling as a songwriter—a path he's pursued ever since.
