Performances by Evan Koteles, Drew Young & Bud Tower

Evan Koteles will grace the stage from 7-8:00PM

From around the age of 13, Evan Koteles would ride his bike to Eoman’s every Tuesday night to watch the open mic from outside, captivated by the performances. Those nights sparked his love for music, inspiring him to learn guitar, write songs, and eventually step up on stage himself.

Evan grew up surrounded by music, with a supportive family background. His dad, a drummer who also played around the Tampa Bay area, encouraged his passion. Soon, Evan’s brother started playing guitar and writing songs, and it was only natural for the two of them to team up, playing gigs wherever they could. After a few years of performing the cover circuit through high school, Evan spent one year at Florida State before following his brother to Nashville.

In Nashville, they connected with a producer who introduced them to other songwriters, eventually leading to the recording of a full-length album. Rather than hiring Nashville musicians for live shows, they decided to return to Tampa to form their own band. They named it 10th Concession, and soon they were touring the Southeast, opening for artists like NEEDTOBREATHE, Mat Kearney, and Sister Hazel.

As with many bands, life eventually took the members in different directions, and the group disbanded. Evan, however, never stopped writing and performing. After a few years in Atlanta, he returned to Tampa, where he’s now putting together a new band.

From 8-10PM enjoy a duo performance from Drew Young and Bud Tower

Award-winning singer-songwriter Bud Tower hails from New Orleans and Nashville and now lives in Florida. He has performed at songwriter festivals around the country including the Sandy Lee Watkins Festival in Henderson, KY, New Orleans Songfest, Key Largo Songfest, Mississippi Coast Songwriters Festival, Key West, etc. He’s been a featured performer at many Nashville singer-songwriter clubs including the Bluebird, Douglas Corner, and The Commodore Lounge. His songs have been recorded by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams, Jr., Buddy Jewell, Zydeco artist Waylon Thibodeaux and many indie artists in the U.S. and Europe. His songs have been in major screen works including movie Foodfight! starring Charlie Sheen and Eva Longoria and documentary One Note At A Time, chronicling New Orleans’ recovery from Hurricane Katrina, and TV series Panhandle, streaming on Spectrum TV. Tower has lectured at Loyola University in New Orleans and Southern Mississippi University. He’s also authored pieces on songwriting including for American Songwriter Magazine.

Frankie Raye Solo

Recording artist Frankie Raye knows only one direction – forward. The profile of the Florida-based singer, songwriter, and guitar player has continued to rise as she performs on notable stages and continues to work on original music. Her music has gained attention from independent media outlets across the U.S, Europe, and Australia, including podcasts, independent radio stations, and both online and televised news variety programs. Many have called her lyrics witty and tongue-in-cheek; while some have viewed her music as self-indulgent, nonsensical, and “too wordy”. But, in pure Frankie Raye fashion, she continues to write and perform in the exact way that she intends to: with pure and unapologetic honesty.

2023 began with Frankie being invited to perform in April at the New York Songwriter's Circle, hosted at the legendary Bitter End in New York City. This was only within a few short months from when she’d been invited to perform at both the prestigious Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, and the Pensacola Beach Songwriter's Festival, where she captivated a sold-out audience at the famous Flora-Bama.

In addition to performing shows regularly across the southeastern United States, she has also travelled far west, performing year after year at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, Ca., and headlining her own showcases at the House of Blues in Disneyland. Although she has taken her music across the country on several occasions, she performs regularly at her home base in Tampa Bay, making appearances at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the Florida State Fairgrounds, and numerous sporting events.

Her latest single, “Foot in Mouth”, was released in the spring of 2023, and has continued to get airplay on independent stations across the U.S. The single has almost seen almost as much success as her 2020 single, “Theodora”, which made the final rounds in several songwriting competitions (Songwriters Guild of America, Indie International Songwriters Network, NewSong, Indie International Music Awards); received positive reviews from European music journals  (Northern Revive, InYourEars Music); and is a fan favorite at her shows. She values the Artist relationships she has with G7th Capos, Mogami Cables, and Elite Acoustics.
Her career continues its rapid rise. Keep up with her if you can at www.FrankieRaye.com and follow her @FrankieRayeMusic on  Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter. Her music is available through Apple Music, Spotify, and major online digital retailers.

Gatortooth Duo

Gatortooth Duo

Originally hailing from Detroit and now rooted in Tampa, Florida, Gator Tooth is led by award-winning singer-songwriter S.G. Wood, a master of "Hacksaw Americana"—a style as raw and unfiltered as the stories it tells. With every note, S.G. navigates life's rough edges, armed with old guitars, well-worn amps, and a seasoned voice that cuts to the heart of the matter. Drawing from the roots of classic country, rock, and folk, his music is both aggressive and gentle, weaving singable, memorable tunes that linger long after the last chord fades.

Music was always in S.G.'s bones. Raised in a home brimming with melodies, he grew up inspired by his father’s WJR radio show and a soundtrack that ranged from Broadway to Bebop, with healthy doses of country and folk. Teaching himself guitar on his mom's old Harmony and studying legends like The Beatles, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan, he soon found his calling as a songwriter—a path he's pursued ever since.

With a strong foundation from his time in the acclaimed Americana band The Hummingbirds, S.G. has had his songs featured in films and has opened for icons like Paul Thorn, Sun Volt, and The Kentucky Headhunters. Whether playing solo or bringing the heat with Gator Tooth, you don’t want to miss him!

Now a little bit about our artist....

Jim Gilmour began writing songs earnestly in 1998. His two albums, Quarterline and Flatworld (both produced by Ben Wisch), feature lyrics that are sometimes veiled and at other times chillingly frank, drawing from everyday experiences. His themes explore the temptations of addiction, love, love lost, and the power of connection, all while celebrating the mystery of life. His sound has been likened to a cross between Peter Mulvey and David Crosby. Having been a bass player for most of his life, Jim's guitar playing is deeply rooted in the groove. In addition to his solo career, Jim continues producing and engineering for recording artists at his St Petersburg commercial recording facility, Southview Arts. He has also been a guitarist, bassist, and vocalist for various touring acts. Jim frequently performs in a popular duo, Deserie and Jim with Deserie Valloreo. The duo focuses on their original music that showcases their impressive vocal harmonies. Jim is honored to have contributed a track to the star-filled compilation album TOO MANY YEARS: A Benefit for Clear Path International, which supports victims of accidents involving explosive remnants of war in Vietnam.

Deserie Balloreos style has been described by many as “heartfelt” and “intense”. Her voice, just like her probing blue eyes, draw you in and fill you with emotion. She makes you feel as if she took a snapshot of a moment in your life and wrote a song about it.

Jim began writing songs in earnest in 1998 after many years of music industry experience supporting other artists. His lyrics – sometimes veiled, sometimes chillingly frank – are composed from the everyday subjects of life: the temptations of addiction, love and love lost, and the power of connection.

Together, Deserie & Jim perform a unique blend of their own bluesy, contemporary folk music. The expressive vocals and potent songwriting of this duo combined with their heart-warming harmonies create a comfortable connection with their audience

Jess Jocoy makes atmospheric Americana for rainy days and twilight hours. It's an honest, heartfelt sound, delivered by a storyteller whose songs ask big questions about her characters, her world, and her heart. On 2022's Let There Be No Despair, she sinks deep into her folk roots, creating a soft-hued album rooted in the power of resilience and the search for silver linings.

Raised two hours south of Seattle, Jess grew up beneath the drizzling skies and lush landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. "I'm a mountain girl at heart," she says, nodding to the scenery that shaped albums like her acclaimed debut, Such a Long Way, and its follow-up, Brighter Eyes, with the woozy, water colored beauty of her native Washington. She created both records in her adopted hometown of Nashville, a city whose songwriters had first captivated her attention as a child. Morning after morning, a young Jess would listen to records by Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, and Shania Twain on her way to school, building the foundation for the unique sound — a blend of northwestern and southeastern influences — that would eventually take her across America.

It was in Nashville, not long after the release of Such a Long Way, that Jocoy found herself riding out a global pandemic that had cancelled her touring plans. She'd been on the fast track to success, earning national TV appearances on NBC Songland, airplay from the iconic radio station WSM (home to the Grand Ole Opry since 1925), and praise from outlets like No Depression (who hailed her "smooth blend of traditional country and folk sounds") and American Songwriter (who saluted Such a Long Way's "mournful effervescence"). Quarantined in her adopted hometown for multiple months, she began creating 2021's Brighter Eyes, a self-produced EP that glimmered with reverb, swooning pedal steel, and other cinematic touches.

She salutes the full spread of her abilities with her second full-length effort, Let There Be No Despair, trading the ethereal sweep of Brighter Eyes for an organic, elegiac mix of folk and sharply-crafted singer/songwriter sensibilities. Laced with violin, acoustic guitar, bowed bass, and light touches of amplification, Let There Be No Despair mixes autobiography with imaginative character portraits. "The Gardener" paints the picture of a Montana woman who, unable to bear children, coaxes new life from the cold earth by planting a garden of flowers, while the haunting "Waiting to Exhale" deals with trauma, abuse, and a survivor's steadfast spirit. "Part of me feels like I may not have a right to tell some of these stories, because they aren't my own," she says, "but it's the heartbreaking truth that someone out there has lived through these things. I sing for them, hoping they’ll hear it and know there's light after darkness." Trading empathetic fiction for fact, Jocoy also turns her focus inward with songs like "Jericho Walls," which finds her taking honest stock of the barriers she's erected around herself, then counts her blessings with "I Will Be Glad," a song rooted in the passing of her father, her close relationship with her mother, and the challenge of sharing her love with another. Inspired by her mother's rural hometown along the Arizona/Mexico border, she also turns "Living in a Dying Town" into a portrait of a defiant resident who's proud of her roots and willing to fight for them.

Scott Sean White is a dedicated singer/songwriter and an artist that exudes emotion. His music is borne from real life experience, complete with the hopes, heartaches and happenstance that define that journey and the revelations that occur along the way.

That’s never been more obvious than on his tellingly-titled upcoming album, Even on the Bad Days - the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut, Call It Even. Releasing on January 19, it was produced by Grammy nominated producer Dave Brainard, who was at the helm for Brandy Clark’s landmark album “12 Stories” (the Grammy nomination) as well as albums by Jamey Johnson, Sunny Sweeney, Jon Wolfe, Drew Kennedy, and many others.

“When I started planning this record, I felt like I needed to have more up-tempo songs and more full band songs… Just to kind of take the next step from the first record, to progress forward,” Scott says. “The challenge with that was finding a sound that made sense with my voice and my songs, because a record with my name on it was not gonna be anything remotely resembling mainstream Nashville. It had to be me. That’s why I went and talked to my friend Dave Brainard to see if he would consider producing the project. He’s an outside-the-mainstream guy. He produces left-of-center songwriter records, so I felt like he could help me find that sound that would make sense for my stuff. And boy - did he ever.”

That’s clearly evident in each of these songs, each a strikingly sensitive reflection of Scott’s thoughtful and insightful feelings about life, love and the stages we all go through in an effort to fully grasp the changes and stages our individual journeys undergo. Both mellow and meaningful, Even on the Bad Days shares hope and happenstance in equal measure, allowing it to resonate well beyond any initial encounter.

Grammy Award Winning Singer Songwriter Eric Swanson is a VOICE, first and foremost, distinctive, soulful, honest. Swanson is an experienced songwriter with over 400 original songs under his belt. Originally from Illinois and now based in St.Petersburg, Florida, Swanson has sharpened a special blend of Americana mixed with Reggae music. “Some of my favorites growing up were Johnny Cash and Bob Marley like a lot of people. I never saw the ocean in person until I was older though, and I think that's why my perception of beach (reggae) music was always different”.Swanson quoted.

2021 was a busy year. Eric Swanson released a solo EP called "Horizons" featuring members of Slighlty Stoopid, Passafire, SOJA, Anberlin and more. Later the same year Swanson wrote two songs (performing on one) for the release of American based reggae band SOJA's Grammy Winning album, Beauty In The Silence.

Many major broadcast and cable stations have taken advantage of Swanson's well crafted, melodic songs and used them for a variety of commercial and dramatic applications.

“A TRUE WORDSMITH with the ability to silence a noisy room and demand attention with the first few lines” Spargur Records

The Eric Swanson Band released the first single”Medicine” off of his new record “The Way We Were” in 2024 on Stoopid Records. “Medicine” explores the healing power of music.

Accompanying Swanson is 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡 Tampa Bay singer-songwriter who delivers an acoustic mix of blues, country, and rock that’ll have you moving all night long. Catch him at OBC around the Tampa Bay area!
